Editing the Taharah Guide was the final project in my graduate Technical and Professional Editing class. This guide is used during the burial preparation and cleansing of Jewish congregants. My class was given the Taharah Guide that a local Jewish congregation had been using and were tasked with individually editing the document for the current users. The project involved a large amount of restructuring information for users, research of Taharah processes, and research of the proper translations and transliterations of Hebrew texts.
